Brand Identity & Assets for A Startup
Design Brief Goals: Develop brand identity and assets for EnvisionYou, and career planning platform for high school students. Needs robust web and mobile applications. Collaborate to make user personas and design according to these.
My approach: Help develop end user personas. Design social media ads for apps most used by students. Prototype website where students can create an account and track their career planning, develop a network, and access key support systems.
Deliverables: Basic identity package including logo, typefaces, and colors, web and mobile design mockups and prototypes, Instagram and Snapchat ads, brochure and poster ads
Print Touchpoints for college VIPs & Donors
Design Brief Goals: Feature college’s mission, vision, and goals. Help donors, VIPs, and guests navigate a visit to campus. Define a brand-consistent, friendly, polished feel that can be carried through multiple pieces. Proof and send to print.
My approach: Research how and where deliverables will be used and create a visual story that describes the college's history and purpose. Define design requirements for target audience: must be legible and attractive to retirement-age folks and accommodate text-heavy layouts. Visitors who walk around campus are more likely to meet students and therefore have a positive personal experience on campus that will encourage them to support the college. Design an icon/map system to highlight campus destinations and help visitors navigate campus.
Deliverables: A 5-panel brochure, printed map, mini brochure, & magazine
Homecoming Ad & event Campaign
Design Brief Goals: Create a visual homecoming campaign for the 2017 event based on the theme "Bobcat Culture." Design campaign needs to inspire alumni to come back to campus.
My approach: Illustrate a nostalgic scene of campus landmarks that bring back memories for alumni across multiple generations. Create a friendly, informal theme that makes alumni feel like family and remains consistent with college branding. Provide clear directions to guide alumni through registering for the event and navigating campus at homecoming.
Deliverables: A save-the-date with refrigerator magnet included, large foldout mailer, social media ads, event name tags and programs, event signage
College of the Ozarks Brandbook
Design Brief Goals: Use existing brand marks and create a brand identity system and brand book. Needs to be able to educate employees about what branding is and why it is important.
My approach: Find and consolidate existing brand marks. Write brand book while collaborating closely with the PR director and webmaster. Beyond guidelines for brand asset usage, write a section about what branding is and why adds value to the college. Learn what college employees need to know about branding and what channels can be used to train them.
Deliverables: A printed brand book and corresponding digital brand book, organized and standardized sharable brand assets library, brand training presentation
